Buhle Khumalo Foundation for Epilepsy Launches “Save the Child” Project to Support Child-Headed Homes in South Africa
Durban, South Africa – The Buhle Khumalo Foundation for Epilepsy has embarked on a powerful new initiative titled “Save the Child on Child-Headed Homes Project”, aimed at providing critical support to orphaned children left vulnerable in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Across South Africa, the reality is stark: thousands of households are now run by children, many of whom lost parents to the pandemic and have been left to survive with little or no assistance — sometimes even abandoned by extended family.
